Let's talk other stuff: I read a lot of zines and music related periodicals. My fav's are Razorcake and Maximum Rockandroll. There's far too many local zines that I read to list here. IM/email me sometime if you want a reading list!
...plays?
Not much of a theatre guy. I pretty much like everything my wife takes me to see.
That being said, I'm a fan of most Neo Futurist productions.
Who are your favorite performers?
It's a mixed bag of maniacs and wing nuts.
Other people I admire:
Most people who do things for themselves as opposed to having other people do it for them. Aaron Cometbus, Lance Hahn, the Ramones, Iggy Pop circa Stooges, GG Allin... anyone who thrives to keep rock music dangerous.
Likes...
Music, movies, books, baseball, playing music, the Chicago Cubs, recording music, buying records, the sound of a vinyl LP, well written zines, cheeseburgers, the City of Chicago, the Chicago punk and hardcore scene, Old Style beer, Mexican food, being a raging Polski... I like a lot of stuff.
Dislikes...
Hippies and wing nuts. Hipsters and ironic mustaches. Fixed gear track bicycles and the chodes who ride them, fake Mexican food, Phish, jam bands, the Grateful Dead... I dislike a lot of stuff.
A little bit about me...
Chris is a beer hero and an all around solid dude. He's a professional trouble maker and enabler who will tell you that the answer is always "yes." He is commonly found in coffee shops and old man bars where he takes note of the scene and becomes a friend to the friendless. Chris is attracted to pretty much anything that might be undesirable to the squares. He wishes to be haunted by the ghost of Carl Sandburg and wants to pick a fight with the spirit of Nelson Algren.
On any given night, you will find Chris celebrating the ugly things and laughing in the face of danger. He is a member of the Midnight Madness League of Mischief. He cannot tell you anymore about it, because he may have said too much already. There's usually a beaver costume involved.
Chris collects 7" records and is an amateur historian.
One time, Chris almost punched out a yuppie in front of the Reckless Records on Milwaukee Ave, but that's a story for another time.
Chris is also a glutton for punishment, which explains his life long devotion to the Chicago Cubs.
In another life, Chris was the tattooed lady in a traveling circus freak show.
What is the craziest / stupidest thing you've ever done?
I puked on a Burger King window once, ruining several peoples day.
Also, as I mentioned before, I almost punched out a yuppie in front of Reckless Records. That was pretty awesome. But I've said too much already.
What is your fondest memory about Rocky?
What? Haven't you heard???

People who knew me in High School thought I was...
On drugs, a worshiper of Satan, shy, possibly retarded, a raging alcoholic, a product of domestic violence. I can't confirm nor deny that I may have started a couple of these rumors. Specifically the one about being possibly retarded.
If they were making a movie about my life I would like to see my part played by...
GG Allin, post-mortem.
One thing I think that you should think too.
Think for yourself, do things yourself and always be yourself.
You can quote me.
